Black Forest Cake Ingredients 1 tin sweetened condensed milk 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 4 tbsp cocoa powder 1¾ cup flour 100 grams butter 50 grams milk chocolate 200ml aerated soda 200 grams fresh cream 1 small tinned cherries 2 tsp icing sugar Method Grease an 8 diameter baking tin and sprinkle flour. In the meantime, pre-heat the oven at 1800C. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and soda bicarbonate. In another bowl, mix the softened butter and sweetened condensed milk and beat well. Add some vanilla essence to the mixture. Add the aerated soda to the batter slowly and keep aside the batter into the baking tin and leave to bake for 45-50 minutes. Cool the cake for a bit, and cut it into two halves. Drain & de-stone cherries. Soak both halves of the cake in cherry syrup. Join the two layers of the cake with whipped cream and chopped cherries. Christmas Fruit Cake Ingredients 1/2 tsp nutmeg powder 100grams butter 1/2cup sugar 1/3cup warm water 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking powder 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder 150 ml aerated soda 1 tin sweetened condensed milk 1.5 cups chopped dried fruits Method Grease an 8 diameter baking tin and sprinkle flour. In the meantime, pre-heat the at 1800 C. Caramelize the sugar and let it cool. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl. Coat the cut fruits with a teaspoon of flour.
